Daniel Sturridge to miss three weeks?

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge will be out of action for three weeks with a thigh injury, according to a report.

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge will reportedly miss three weeks of action after the thigh injury he picked up on England duty was assessed by the Reds' medical team.

An early report claimed that the Three Lions international would be out for around four months.

However, according to the Liverpool Echo, the 25-year-old could be back before the end of the month, and faces a race against time to prove his fitness for the Merseyside derby with Everton on September 27.

Sturridge scored 21 goals last season for Brendan Rodgers's side.
