Suso reveals Liverpool frustration

Former Liverpool playmaker Suso admits his frustration at his lack of first-team opportunities at Anfield.

New AC Milan midfielder Suso has revealed that he left Liverpool because of a lack of trust in his ability.

The Spanish playmaker joined the Rossoneri earlier this month and he admitted that he was forced to move on after accepting that he was unlikely to break into the first team at Anfield.

"My contract was due to expire in June but Liverpool's offer did not satisfy me, neither economically nor in a sporting sense," Suso told Marca.

"When I arrived I was very much a boy and I've learned a lot. I've grown, but I didn't notice they had much trust in me."

The 21-year-old also explained how he wants to help Milan regain their status as a Champions League side following his switch to Serie A.

He added: "I wanted a change of scenery and Milan have offered me everything I needed. It's a great club with an incredible history, although right now it's not at its best, but my aim is to play as much as possible and return Milan to the Champions League, where it belongs."

Suso made just 14 Premier League appearances for the Reds in four years.
