Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Liverpool could line up for Tuesday's Premier League clash with Aston Villa.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will hope to have Roberto Firmino back at his disposal for Tuesday's Premier League contest with Aston Villa at Villa Park.

The Brazil international was not risked for the draw with Tottenham Hotspur due to a foot injury, but he is back in training and could apply for a place among the substitutes this week.

Klopp has no other fresh injury concerns to worry about, and a well-stocked squad should lead to a number of alterations amid the quick turnaround and impending FA Cup final.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson could be wrapped in cotton wool before the journey to Wembley, with Joe Gomez and Kostas Tsimikas both in with strong chances of starting here.

Ibrahima Konate held his place at the back for the draw with Spurs, but Joel Matip will likely return to partner Virgil van Dijk against the Lions.

Without Alexander-Arnold or Robertson in the starting lineup, Klopp will likely be hesitant to drop Thiago Alcantara, and Fabinho should also hold his place in the engine room.

However, Naby Keita is an option for change over Jordan Henderson, while Curtis Jones and James Milner are both ready to provide fresh legs too.

Diogo Jota can feel confident about forcing his way into the first XI and may displace Sadio Mane in the final third, with Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz on the flanks.

Liverpool possible starting lineup: Alisson; Gomez, Matip, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Keita, Fabinho, Thiago; Salah, Jota, Diaz
