Liverpool are reportedly set to make moves for both Gabri Veiga and Federico Chiesa this summer.
After a disappointing fifth-place finish in the Premier League last season, Liverpool have been quick to bolster their squad, especially in midfield, with Alexis Mac Allister arriving from Brighton & Hove Albion.
Veiga could be another midfielder on his way to Anfield, as that part of the pitch has been highlighted as one of the major focuses for Liverpool's transfer policy this summer.
The 21-year-old has shone during his breakout season at Celta Vigo in La Liga, scoring 11 goals to help his boyhood club survive relegation.
It was Veiga's final-day double against champions Barcelona that sealed their escape from the drop in a memorable 2-1 victory, in what may turn out to be his final game at the Estadio de Balaidos.
Veiga has a €40m (£34.4m) release clause in his contract at Celta, but Mundo Deportivo claims that Liverpool want to strike a cheaper deal for the young Spaniard.

The La Liga club are set to stand firm though and hold out for the full clause to be met, with club president Carlos Mourino recently saying to Cadena SER: "We are not going to sell Gabri Veiga, but they are going to buy him from us."
With Naby Keita and James Milner leaving Liverpool at the end of their current deals, Thiago Alcantara often injury prone, and Fabinho and Jordan Henderson now into their 30s, Jurgen Klopp looks set to continue his rebuild of the Liverpool midfield.
Khephren Thuram and Manu Kone have also been linked with moves to Merseyside in recent weeks as Liverpool look to improve after last season's underwhelming campaign saw them miss out on Champions League qualification.
A report in Gazzetta dello Sport also claims that Liverpool are set to get serious over a deal that could bring Juventus winger Chiesa to Anfield.
A torn ACL saw Chiesa miss most of 2022 and he struggled to reclaim a regular spot in the Juventus side which finished outside of the Serie A top four after being given a 10-point deduction for financial irregularities.
Financial difficulties, which will only be made worse by the club's failure to finish in the Champions League places, mean Juve are likely to lose many key players this summer.

Chiesa is one of the club's most prized assets, along with Dusan Vlahovic, as the duo could demand healthy transfer fees with interest in them still high.
Declining the opportunity to sign Leandro Paredes permanently from Paris Saint-Germain, and the possibility of Adrien Rabiot leaving on a free illustrates the Bianconeri's current struggles, so they may find it difficult to keep hold of Chiesa this summer.
The report claims that Liverpool are readying a bid of around €45m (£38.5m) for Chiesa, who rose to global acclaim after his glittering performances at Euro 2020.
Chiesa played a key role in Italy becoming European champions, scoring a crucial extra-time goal against Austria in the last 16, before a thrilling strike against Spain in the semi-finals.
The 25-year-old has been deployed on the left-wing predominantly in recent times, so would offer competition to Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota at Anfield.
