Liverpool are reportedly ready to go head to head with Roma for Real Betis youngster Dani Ceballos.
The teenager's contract expires in June next summer, and both the Reds and the Italians have been alerted to the talents of the 19-year-old.
According to Diario de Sevilla, Brendan Rodgers's side lead the race, with a contract worth around £1m a year lined up for midfielder Ceballos, although Roma are also monitoring the situation.
Ceballos, who only turned 19 last week, has two Spain Under-21 caps to his name.
