Newcastle United are not interested in re-signing Georginio Wijnaldum from Liverpool this summer, according to a report.

Newcastle United are reportedly not interested in re-signing Georginio Wijnaldum this summer amid speculation that the midfielder could leave Liverpool ahead of the new season.

Earlier this week, it was claimed that the summer arrivals of Naby Keita and Fabinho at Liverpool have led to Wijnaldum considering his future at Anfield.

The Netherlands international joined Newcastle from PSV Eindhoven in 2015, and scored 11 Premier League goals for the Magpies during the 2015-16 season before moving on to Liverpool.

Newcastle have been linked with another approach for the 27-year-old, but according to Chronicle Live, Rafael Benitez's side are not interested in bringing him back to St James' Park.

Wijnaldum has made close to 100 appearances for Liverpool over the last two campaigns.
