Liverpool's Brendan Rodgers: 'We have money to spend on more signings'

Brendan Rodgers insists that there is money to spend on "quality" signings following Liverpool's acquisition of four players so far this summer.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has insisted that there is money to spend at Anfield for more "quality" signings this summer.

The Merseyside outfit have already acquired the signatures of forward Iago Aspas, midfielder Luis Alberto, defender Kolo Toure and goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.

"They have to be of the right quality, that's the bottom line," Rodgers told LFCTV.

"We've got money to spend on getting that quality in, but if it's not available I won't waste it for the sake of bringing a player in.

"We're really working hard to bring in the type of profile that can really help us push on. We just need to see if that's available and affordable."

While the Northern Irishman is keen to add more to his squad, the future remains uncertain for striker Luis Suarez, who is believed to be a target for both Arsenal and Real Madrid.
