Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has admitted that he 'does not know' whether Kevin De Bruyne will be able to take part in Thursday's Premier League clash with Liverpool.
City returned to winning ways in the league with a 3-1 success at Southampton on Sunday afternoon, but the reigning champions are still seven points off the Reds ahead of Thursday's clash.
De Bruyne has only made six Premier League appearances this season after suffering two separate knee ligament injuries, while a muscular problem ruled him out of the clash with Southampton.
Guardiola has conceded that he is currently unsure whether the Belgium international will be able to face Jurgen Klopp's side at the Etihad Stadium next week.
"I don't know how Kevin De Bruyne is," Guardiola told reporters. "I know it's not serious, but I don't know if he can play on Thursday."
The 27-year-old was voted City's Player of the Season for the 2017-18 campaign after registering 12 goals and 21 assists in 52 appearances in all competitions.
