West Bromwich Albion manager Steve Clarke blasts the linesman in his side's 1-0 defeat to Manchester City after Edin Dzeko's goal was allowed to stand.

West Bromwich Albion manager Steve Clarke has blasted the linesman for allowing Edin Dzeko's goal to stand in his side's 1-0 defeat to Manchester City.

The Bosnian international scored the only goal of the game in a tight clash at the Etihad Stadium, but the Baggies boss believes that Carlos Tevez should have been flagged offside in the buildup.

Clarke told Sky Sports News: "I am disappointed the decision with the goal went against us, because it was offside. People will say it's a close one but it doesn't matter, it's still offside.

"The linesman has got to get those decisions right. When you come to places like this, playing against teams of the quality of Manchester City, then you need the officials to be good."

West Brom are eighth in the Premier League despite the defeat to Roberto Mancini's side.
