Pep Guardiola: 'I cannot deny Claudio Bravo rumours'

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola says that he "cannot deny" reports suggesting that Claudio Bravo is on the brink of completing his move from Barcelona.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has said that he "cannot deny" reports suggesting that Claudio Bravo is on the brink of completing a move to the club.

The Barcelona keeper is expected to put the finishing touches to his switch this week as Guardiola looks for a replacement for the out-of-favour Joe Hart.

The Spaniard stressed that no deal had been completed for the 33-year-old, but hinted that the Chilean's arrival is imminent.

"I cannot deny what everybody knows. Barcelona were the first ones who announced contact with Manchester City but, sorry, the deal is not complete. After that I will be open to answer questions but in this moment he is not our player," Guardiola told reporters.

Reports earlier today suggested that Hart could opt to stay at the Etihad Stadium, despite the likelihood of being demoted to third-choice keeper.
