Wolverhampton Wanderers want to replace Christophe Berra with Manchester City defender Stefan Savic, according to reports.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are looking to sign Manchester City defender Stefan Savic to replace the outgoing Christophe Berra, according to reports.

The Daily Express understands that Wolves will bid to take Savic on a season-long loan after accepting Berra's transfer request.

Wolves manager Stale Solbakken confirmed that Berra will leave the club as he wants a fresh challenge and has less than a year left on his contract at Molineux.

City centre-back Savic could be his replacement, with the Montenegro international finding first-team opportunities limited at the Etihad Stadium.
