Manchester City are reportedly convinced that Leroy Sane will not demand a move away this summer and are hopeful a new contract can be agreed.
The German winger has emerged as a confirmed transfer target for Bayern Munich after falling out of favour under Pep Guardiola in the closing weeks of the 2018-19 season.
Bayern have targeted Sane as a replacement for Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery, but their president Uli Hoeness says that a deal is looking increasingly unlikely due to the "insane" amount of money involved.
According to the Evening Standard, fresh talks have recently taken place between the 23-year-old and City, with Guardiola keen to keep him as part of his treble-winning squad.
Sane has two years to run on his existing terms, which has seen his valuation drop to around £80m, but it is claimed that the English champions are looking to hand him a new long-term contract.
