Report: Aston Villa reignite Scott Sinclair interest

Aston Villa reportedly resume talks with Man City over the transfer of out-of-favour winger Scott Sinclair.

Aston Villa have apparently revisited a potential deal to sign Manchester City outcast Scott Sinclair.

Villans manager Paul Lambert claimed last week that he thought that the deal was "dead" due to the cost of the fee and Sinclair's salary demands.

However, Sky Sports News reports that talks between all three parties have now resumed, with the 25-year-old winger keen on a move to the West Midlands.

Sinclair could be willing to take a substantial wage cut in order to secure a chance of more regular football, having played a total of 25 minutes in four substitute appearances for the English champions this season.

The former Swansea City flyer, who spent last season on loan at West Bromwich Albion, has started just two Premier League games since joining the Citizens from the Liberty Stadium in 2012.
