Harry Redknapp: 'Marcus Rashford won't play at Euro 2016'

Harry Redknapp does not believe that Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford will be given any game time by Roy Hodgson at Euro 2016.

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has said that he cannot see Marcus Rashford getting a game for England at Euro 2016.

The 18-year-old striker was the most notable inclusion in Roy Hodgson's 23-man squad for this summer's tournament having burst onto the scene since making his Manchester United debut in February.

The youngster took less than three minutes to net his first international goal on his debut against Australia on Friday, but Redknapp still believes that there are plenty ahead of him in the pecking order.

"In all honesty, I can't really see him playing. I like him and he's going to be a real player in the future," he told Sky Sports News.

"But we've got Kane, we've got Vardy, we've got Sturridge, we've got Rooney – I think [Hodgson] has got a lot of options up front.

"I wouldn't see Rashford getting a game and I'll be surprised if he gets too much, if any, games personally."

Rashford's goal against Australia saw him become the youngest player to ever score on their England debut.
