Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho reportedly holds Paul Pogba partly responsible for the hamstring injury that could see the Frenchman miss the next six weeks of the season.

Pogba was handed the United armband for Tuesday's Champions League clash against Basel, but the £89m midfielder lasted just 19 minutes of the European tie after picking up a hamstring problem.

The Red Devils are yet to put a timeframe on the injury, although it is thought that the France international will miss the next six weeks of the 2017-18 campaign.

According to The Sun, Mourinho and his staff blame Pogba for ignoring advice over his long-standing hamstring problems, which saw the 24-year-old miss three games last season.

The report claims that Pogba has been using a personal trainer in a bid to cure the troublesome issue, rather than following club advice when it comes to treatment.

United will look to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they host an out-of-form Everton on Sunday afternoon.
