Tom Cleverley refuses to reveal his goal target, while also stressing the importance of all Manchester United players scoring goals this season.

Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley has admitted that he has set himself a goal target this season.

However, the 23-year-old has insisted that he will be keeping the number to himself.

"I have a target in my head, yes, but I'm going to keep it to myself," he told the club's official website. "Scoring goals is something that's starting to come together in my game now.

"I've managed to do it out on loan and I was hoping it'd just be a matter of time before they came along for United."

Cleverley went on to admit that it is important that the entire squad contribute in the goalscoring department and not just leave the responsibility to the strikers.

"It can only help if goals are coming from all areas of the pitch," he added. "We've been good from set pieces this year and hopefully other players on the pitch can take a bit of pressure away from our strikers.

"It's a team effort, we've got a really good team spirit here and we're all in this together."

Cleverley has found the net on four occasions so far this season.
