Manchester United's Shinji Kagawa: 'I'm flexible enough to play in different roles'

Shinji Kagawa insists that he can play in a number of positions for Manchester United.

Manchester United midfielder Shinji Kagawa has insisted that he is "flexible" enough to play in a number of different positions for the Premier League champions.

The Japan international has played a more central role in recent matches under manager David Moyes, but has operated on the left side of midfield for the majority of his career at Old Trafford.

"I played behind the main striker at Dortmund, but I usually play on the left with Japan," Kagawa told the United Review.

"I should be flexible enough to play in a number of roles, so I am a more attractive player to the team and can contribute even more.

"Every day I am learning how to trouble my opponents on the left, how best to cause them problems with my movement, but I would still like to be capable of taking up more positions."

Kagawa left Borussia Dortmund for the North-West outfit last year.
