Luke Shaw: 'Goals will come for Manchester United'

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw is confident that the team will bounce back from the goalless draw with Newcastle United on Saturday.

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has said that the team will recover from the goalless draw with Newcastle United on Saturday.

The Red Devils struggled to break down a stubborn Newcastle side at Old Trafford and failed to maintain their 100% start to the new season as a result.

Shaw, though, is confident that Louis van Gaal's men will soon rediscover their goalscoring form.

"We've got a game just around the corner and I think it's only good for us. We'll get back up and try to win that game," the left-back told the club's official website.

"I think it's the best thing for us, when we feel that we've dropped two points. It's very important that there's another game and it's even more important that we try to win it.

"I'm sure we'll start scoring many goals soon. We've got so much quality up front that it's only a matter of time before someone puts one away and we'll be flying again."

United face Club Brugge in the second leg of their Champions League qualifier on Wednesday.
