Manchester United defender Luke Shaw praises Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's man-management skills in helping him regain his form and enjoyment of the game.

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has heaped praise on the man-management of current boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The 25-year-old has established himself as a key figure in Solskjaer's side at Old Trafford, already making more appearances this season than he did throughout the whole of last term and earning a recall to the England squad for this month's World Cup qualifiers.

The left-back joined Man United in a £30m deal in June 2014, but struggled for game time under former managers Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho, and had previously been linked with a move away from the club.

However, Shaw has credited Solskjaer with aiding his turnaround, insisting that he feels a lot more confident under the Norwegian than he did under his predecessor Mourinho.

"His man-management is second to none. The way he conducts himself in terms of how he speaks to the players, it gets the best out of them. He takes the pressure off the lads and takes it all himself," told Sky Sports News.

"I had no confidence at that time. I was losing my belief. I think that is what changed with Ole. He managed me right and I got my confidence back and I am really enjoying it at the moment."

The 25-year-old was voted Manchester United's player of the season in 2019 and has made 174 appearances for the Red Devils.
