England winger Ashley Young has revealed that he had Manchester United's famous winning spirit drummed into him immediately upon his Old Trafford arrival from Aston Villa.
The 26-year-old, who was signed by Sir Alex Ferguson in June last year, is involved in a title challenge for the first time this season, although some of his teammates have been winning Premier League medals since 1993.
"Everyone has the same hunger, whether it's Giggsy going for his 13th or someone like me going for my first. Everyone has that same desire," said Young.
"That winning mentality comes from the manager and was drummed into me from the moment I signed. Everyone wants to win in training as well.
"I look back to the Norwich game and the celebrations after we scored in the dying minutes. Everyone has that fighting spirit."
£17m Young has scored seven goals in 25 games for the Red Devils, including two in the 3-1 win away at Tottenham Hotspur.
