Manuel Ugarte is reportedly currently undergoing his medical at Manchester United, with the midfielder preparing to join the 20-time English champions from Paris Saint-Germain.
Following weeks of negotiations, the Red Devils have been able to come to an agreement with PSG over a deal for Ugarte, with the Uruguay international heading to Manchester on Tuesday night.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Ugarte is now undergoing his medical at the club's Carrington training complex, and the deal is expected to be confirmed over the next 24 hours.
As a result, there is a strong chance that the 23-year-old will be in the squad for Sunday's Premier League clash with Liverpool at Old Trafford.
Man United will allegedly pay an initial €50m (£42.1m) plus a potential further €10m (£8.4m) add-ons for Ugarte, who has agreed a five-year contract with Erik ten Hag's side.

Ugarte 'undergoing Man United medical'
The Red Devils have already made four signings this summer, with Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui arriving to boost the squad for the new season.
Zirkzee and De Ligt have featured off the bench in Man United's opening two games of the new Premier League campaign, while Mazraoui has started both matches at right-back.
Leny, though, is yet to make his competitive debut for the club, having suffered a fractured metatarsal during a pre-season clash with Arsenal last month.
Ugarte is set to become Man United's fifth signing of the summer transfer window, but there is a chance that one more could arrive before the market closes on Friday.

Will Man United sign Sterling?
In what would be one of the shock deals of the summer window, Man United are allegedly in discussions with Chelsea over the possibility of Raheem Sterling moving to Old Trafford.
Sterling is unwanted at Chelsea under new head coach Enzo Maresca, and he could reportedly be a part of a swap deal which would take Jadon Sancho to Stamford Bridge.
Man United are said to have held talks with Chelsea over the possibility of moving for the 29-year-old, who has previously turned out for Liverpool and Manchester City.
Sancho holds the key, though, and Juventus are also in the mix for the Red Devils forward, so there are lots of moving parts in the latter stages of the market.
