Manchester United 'give green light for Marcos Rojo loan exit'

Manchester United agree to allow Marcos Rojo to re-join Estudiantes on loan for the rest of the season, according to a report.

Manchester United have reportedly agreed to allow versatile defender Marcos Rojo to re-join Estudiantes on loan for the remainder of the 2019-20 campaign.

The 29-year-old has made 122 appearances for United since arriving from Sporting Lisbon in 2014 but has only featured on three occasions in the Premier League this season.

Rojo has not played in any competition for the 20-time English champions since the start of November, meanwhile, and has recently been linked with a return to Argentina.

According to the Daily Mail, the Red Devils have now given the green light for the defender to move to Estudiantes, where he started his professional career.

Rojo was strongly linked with a switch to Everton on the final day of the summer transfer window, but the Toffees could not agree a fee with the 20-time English champions.

The South American still has 18 months left to run on his £100,000-a-week contract at Old Trafford.
