Manchester United tell Donny van de Beek that he is free to leave the club on loan before the end of the month, according to a report.

Manchester United have reportedly told Donny van de Beek that he is free to leave the club on loan before the end of the January transfer window.

Red Devils interim head coach Ralf Rangnick said earlier this month that he was keen to keep the 24-year-old at Old Trafford for the second half of the season.

However, the Dutchman has continued to struggle for regular action at the club, and he is determined to leave this month in the hope of working his way back into the Netherlands squad for the World Cup.

Everton and Crystal Palace are believed to be competing for the midfielder's signature on loan, but Man United are not thought to be prepared to include a future purchase option in the deal.

According to 90min, the Red Devils have now given the green light for Van de Beek to leave and will allow him to choose his new club, providing that their demands are met in terms of a fee and wage contribution.

The Netherlands international has scored once in 14 appearances at club level during the 2021-22 campaign, but he has only played 68 minutes of Premier League football this term.
