Rafael Benitez's Napoli started brightly, although it took them until first-half stoppage time to break the deadlock when Goran Pandev scored from the penalty spot.
However, within five minutes of the restart, Porto were level. Juan Quintero was the creator, playing in Nabil Ghilas, who in turn found the back of the net.
The Portuguese outfit then went in front for the first time in the 68th minute when Napoli defender Federico Fernandez put the ball into his own goal while trying to intercept a cross from Silvestre Varela.
The victory was then sealed 12 minutes from time by substitute Lica, who capitalised on an error by former Liverpool full-back Andrea Dossena.
