Lincoln City appoint David Holdsworth

David Holdsworth becomes the new manager of Lincoln City on a deal until the end of the season.

David Holdsworth has been appointed the new manager of Blue Square Bet Premier side Lincoln City on a deal until the end of the season.

The former Mansfield Town boss has replaced Steve Tilson, who was sacked from the position earlier this month.

"We're extremently happy to have David on board and wish him every success here at Sincil Bank," chairman Bob Dorrian told the club's official website.

Holdsworth's first game in charge of the Imps will be a trip to Alfreton Town on Saturday afternoon.

His brother, Dean, is the manager of Aldershot Town, who are currently preparing for League Cup tie against Manchester United tomorrow evening.
