Simon Cox "out for around two months"

Simon Cox reveals that an ankle injury is due to rule him out of action for around two months.

Nottingham Forest striker Simon Cox has revealed that he will spend the next eight weeks on the sidelines.

The 25-year-old sustained an ankle injury during his side's 2-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday afternoon. A subsequent scan then showed that he had damaged his ligaments.

"I'm out for around two months but it feels better and better each day. I want to be back ASAP to help the lads achieve our goal," he wrote on Twitter.

Cox joined Forest from West Bromwich Albion during the summer.
