Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp has admitted that he is unsure whether Julio Cesar will force his way into his starting XI this season.
The 33-year-old, who is Brazil's number one, had been expected to depart Loftus Road in the summer following the club's relegation to the Championship.
"It's a difficult situation with Julio and I'm surprised no-one came in for him. He's a world-class keeper. [Brian] Murphy's also a good goalkeeper. And besides I don't know whether Julio wants to sit on the bench," Redknapp told the club's official website.
"His dream is to play in the World Cup in Brazil and I don't think this will affect his situation. The manager of Brazil thinks he's the number-one man and I don't think anything that happens at QPR is going to change that for him."
Cesar joined QPR from Inter Milan in 2012.
