Real Madrid forward Jose Callejon has said that the team are "[Jose] Mourinho's to the death" after the coach was jeered in the 3-0 Copa del Rey win over Alcoyano on Tuesday night.
Los Blancos ran out 7-1 aggregate winners over the Segunda side, but whistles were reserved for Mourinho, who has seen his side fall 11 points behind La Liga leaders Barcelona.
However, Callejon has leapt to the defence of the Portuguese, saying that the entire squad is fully behind him.
"We're Mourinho's team to the death," he said.
"He is the ideal coach for Real Madrid. The public can think what they want and you [reporters] can think what you want also."
The victory sends Madrid into the last 16 of the Copa del Rey.
