Romania captain Razvan Rat could reportedly finalise his move to West Ham United by the end of this week.
The 31-year-old will become a free agent later this summer when his contract with Shakhtar Donetsk comes to an end.
Having held initial talks with the Hammers, the left-back is expected to arrive in London for further discussions today before going on to have a medical, according to the London Evening Standard.
Rat, who joined Shakhtar in 2003, has made 88 appearances for the Romanian national team.
