Southampton goalkeeper Kelvin Davis insists that there has been "no negativity" towards new manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Southampton goalkeeper Kelvin Davis has insisted that he and his teammates are fully behind new manager Mauricio Pochettino.

The Premier League outfit dismissed boss Nigel Adkins on Friday and swiftly replaced him with Pochettino, who was sacked by struggling La Liga side Espanyol in November.

"I can 100% say there has been no negativity in the changing room or on the pitch," the Daily Star quotes Davis as saying.

"We had a very good training session with the new manager on Saturday and he met the staff. We are fortunate to have very professional players and we are all going to give 100%."

Disgruntled Saints fans are planning to protest against Adkins's sacking during tonight's match against Everton.
