Danny Guthrie wants Reading to claim their first victory of the season against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Danny Guthrie has set his sights on Reading's first Premier League win this season when they face Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

The two clubs have yet to claim a victory this campaign, with the Royals losing at Chelsea after drawing against Stoke City on the opening day.

Spurs lost at Newcastle United in their first match before drawing consecutive home matches with West Bromwich Albion and Norwich City, and Guthrie says that he hopes the North Londoners will still be searching for their first win after their weekend meeting.

"We gave a great account of ourselves at Chelsea and, from day one, we've said it doesn't matter who we are playing, we want to win the game," said Guthrie.

"We tried doing that at Stamford Bridge and we'll be trying again on Sunday. We're at home, it's our first game on the telly and I'm sure it will be a great occasion for everyone involved."

Reading host Spurs on Sunday at 4pm.
