Everton sign Steven Pienaar on loan from Tottenham Hotspur for the remainder of the season.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Steven Pienaar has sealed a loan move to former club Everton until the end of the season.

Pienaar joined Spurs from the Merseyside club a year ago but has struggled to break into Harry Redknapp's team.

The South African has been eager to leave White Hart Lane this month and has quickly taken the chance to re-sign for his old club.

Both clubs have been busy negotiating the deal during Tuesday and managed to complete the move before the transfer deadline.

The 29-year-old was a key player for David Moyes during his previous stint at Goodison Park.

Piennaar has previously played for Dutch giants Ajax.
