Preview: Birmingham City vs. Watford

Sports Mole looks ahead to Championship leaders Watford's trip to Birmingham City.

Watford head into Tuesday's clash with Birmingham City looking to extend their unbeaten run to 10 games and consolidate their position at the top of the Championship.

The Hornets climbed to the summit over the weekend with a 3-1 win against Millwall, and manager Slavisa Jokanovic could keep the faith in the same side.

However, Jonathan Bond, Ikechi Anya and Fernando Forestieri are all in contention for a recall under Jokanovic's rotation system after sitting out the victory over the Lions.

Birmingham began a new era under recently-appointed manager Gary Rowett at the weekend, keeping a clean sheet in a goalless draw against high-flying Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The result helped City put a humiliating 8-0 defeat at the hands of Bournemouth behind them, but they are in need of three points to lift them out of the relegation zone.

With Rowett still assessing his team, Callum Reilly, Brek Shea, and Wes Thomas could be in line for a start after impressing as substitutes during the Wolves stalemate.
