Former West Bromwich Albion defender Darren Moore has said that Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay is "a perfect fit" for the Baggies.
The Midlands outfit are searching for a new boss after parting company with Steve Clarke last week, while his fellow countryman looks likely to be sacked from his post in the Welsh capital due to a dispute with Bluebirds owner Vincent Tan.
"There has been a lot of speculation but somebody needs to come in, the quicker the better as it will settle everyone down," Moore told talkSPORT.
"I look at what's happening at Cardiff City and it's remarkable what's happening and what the owner is saying about Malky Mackay.
"If it is true and he is to be sacked or resign, then we'd have him, 100%. Knowing Malky Mackay and knowing the environment at West Brom, it's a perfect fit."
West Brom are 17th in the Premier League.
