West Bromwich Albion have reportedly turned their attention to Queens Park Rangers winger Matt Phillips after cooling their interest in Bakary Sako.
Wolverhampton Wanderers man Sako is thought to have shocked the Baggies and West Midlands rivals Aston Villa with his high wage demands.
West Brom head coach Tony Pulis is said to be looking to revamp his squad after taking charge at the beginning of year, with Sako and Nottingham Forest winger Michail Antonio linked with moves to The Hawthorns.
According to the Express & Star, the Baggies plan to step up their interest in Phillips over the next few weeks.
However, the 24-year-old is expected to be coveted by several Premier League sides should he leave Loftus Road this summer.
Phillips has also played for Wycombe Wanderers and Blackpool during his career.
