Kenny Jackett impressed with Danny Batth

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett admits that he has been impressed with the recent displays of defender Danny Batth.

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett has hinted that he would like to hand a long-term contract to defender Danny Batth in the near future.

Batth has impressed for the League One outfit during the opening two games of the season, and Jackett believes that the 22-year-old has a future at Molineux.

The 51-year-old told the Birmingham Mail: "We like Danny and he's got a future here – it's not a hard one to work out as I have picked him every game and he has done very well.

"We do see him as having a really good future with us."

The centre-back has made 14 appearances for Wolves, while he also played 54 times during two loan spells with Sheffield Wednesday.
