Roy Hodgson praises second-half display

Roy Hodgson praises his players' second-half performance following their 5-1 victory over Wolves at Molineux.

West Bromwich Albion manager Roy Hodgson applauded the second-half performance of his players after they beat local rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers 5-1 at Molineux this afternoon.

With the game level at the break, the Baggies netted four goals in the second period to claim the three points and move clear of the Premier Leaguerelegation zone.

"Everyone knows it can be a game-changing experience when you are coming in at half-time after playing well and you could be 2-0 or 3-0 up, but suddenly it is 1-1," Hodgson told Sky Sports.

"I thought we really did well to go out and take the second half as we did the first half, and in the end we scored the goals and it was a very good victory, but it was down to the fact that the players played very well today.

"I think they deserve every credit."

West Brom return to Premier League action when they host Sunderland at the Hawthorns next Saturday.
