Brentford manager Thomas Frank and Brighton & Hove Albion boss Graham Potter are reportedly being considered as potential successors for Mikel Arteta at Arsenal.

Arsenal are reportedly considering Thomas Frank and Graham Potter as potential replacements for Mikel Arteta at the Emirates Stadium.

The Spaniard oversaw victories against Chelsea and Manchester City en route to the 2019-20 FA Cup crown, but his side's fortunes have largely gone downhill since that triumph.

Arsenal boast zero goals and zero points from their first three Premier League games of the season - results which have left them bottom of the pile - but he is still thought to retain the faith of the powers-that-be.

However, TEAMtalk claims that Brentford coach Frank and Brighton & Hove Albion boss Potter are now on a shortlist of potential candidates, with the Arsenal board impressed by their attacking principles.

The report adds that 'tensions are high' at the Emirates, with the pressure on Arteta's shoulders set to weigh even heavier if results do not improve after a busy summer of spending.

Ex-Inter Milan and Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was also rumoured to have been on Arsenal's radar, although reports of a pre-contract agreement have been denied by agent Federico Pastorello.

The Gunners welcome Norwich City to the Emirates on Saturday afternoon aiming to avoid equalling a 98-year-old unwanted losing record in the top flight.
