Preview: Leeds United vs. Blackpool

Sports Mole previews Wednesday's Championship clash between Leeds United and Blackpool at Elland Road.

Paul Ince is expected to take charge of Blackpool for the first time when the Seasiders face Leeds United at Elland Road on Wednesday.

The former Manchester United midfielder is reportedly close to taking charge at the Championship club as he takes on the challenge of making a late push for the playoffs.

Leeds United suffered disappointment in the FA Cup at the weekend as they were thumped 4-0 by Manchester City, with boss Neil Warnock coming under increasing pressure.

The home side enter the match 12th in the table, eight points off the playoffs, while Blackpool sit in 14th but just two points behind their opponents on Wednesday.

The reverse fixture at the beginning of the season ended in a 2-1 victory for Blackpool, but the Seasiders have also enjoyed recent success at Elland Road, running out 5-0 winners in November 2011.

Leeds will recall Paddy Kenny at the expense of Jamie Ashdown, while Steve Morison should also come back into the team after sitting out the defeat to City in the FA Cup.

Blackpool are expected to recall Tom Ince to their starting side, while on-loan Manchester City defender Reece Wabara is also pushing for an inclusion in defence having appeared from the bench last weekend.

Recent form:

Leeds: WLDLL
Blackpool: LWLWL

Possible lineups:

Leeds: Kenny; Peltier, Lees, Pearce, Warnock; Varney, Green, Brown, Byram; Morison, McCormack

Blackpool: Gilks; Wabara, Crainey, Baptiste, Cathcart; Ince, Broadfort, Gomes; Phillips; Taylor-Fletcher, Derbyshire

Sports Mole says: 2-2
