Brendan Rodgers: 'Liverpool can end Manchester City's 100% record'

Brendan Rodgers claims that his Liverpool team can achieve that others have failed this season and beat Man City at Eastlands.

Brendan Rodgers believes that Liverpool can be the team to end Manchester City's 100% record at Eastlands this evening.

Manuel Pellegrini's men have recorded victories in each of their eight home fixtures in the Premier League thus far, with Arsenal, Manchester United, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur among those to have been beaten at the Etihad this season.

Nevertheless, Rodgers, who has guided the Reds to the summit of England's top flight, claims that his team boast the "bravery" necessary to succeed where others have failed and inflict a home defeat on the Sky Blues.

He told the club's official website: "We know it is a tough place to go. This season, Manchester City have won every one of their games at home but we've won every one at home bar one.

"They obviously have confidence at home and they score goals but they concede goals.

"You normally lose [a 100% record] at some stage of the season, it will depend on a team going there and having the bravery to play and get that bit of luck when you need it.

This evening's clash in Manchester is scheduled to kick off at 5.30pm.
