Marco Reus concedes that Borussia Dortmund are "disappointed" with their failure to defeat Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Borussia Dortmund winger Marco Reus has admitted that he and his teammates are "disappointed" with their 1-1 draw with Manchester City on Wednesday.

A late penalty from Mario Balotelli cancelled out Reus's 61st-minute effort at the Etihad Stadium in the Champions League Group D encounter.

"If you have a look in the dressing room now, you'll only see disappointed faces," the 23-year-old is quoted as saying by UEFA's official website.

"We proved today that we can compete at this level. Real Madrid will be a different match, but we will take a lot of confidence from this game."

In the other Group D game on Wednesday, Real Madrid defeated Ajax 4-1 in Amsterdam.
