AC Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic has claimed that he is the best in the world right now, putting himself above both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
The debate over who is the greatest footballer in the world is something that has raged on over the years, with Ronaldo and Messi normally being at the top of the list, but Ibrahimovic believes the answer is himself.
During a recent press conference, he stated: "If we are talking about intrinsic quality, then they have nothing more than me. If we consider trophies, then yes, I didn't win the Champions League."
When speaking about the Ballon D'or award, Ibrahimovic said: "I don't know what criteria they use to decide who gets the award, because I am not obsessed with it."
Between Messi and Ronaldo they have won the personal accolade 11 times, but the Swedish international confidently claimed: "deep down, I do think that I am the best in the world."
Ibrahimovic made his return from injury for AC Milan at the weekend during their 2-0 victory over Lazio, finding the back of the net for the second goal, and he could be in line to feature in their upcoming Champions League game with Liverpool.
