Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim reportedly gives the green light for two players to depart Old Trafford in January.

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has reportedly given club officials the green light to facilitate the exit of two players in January.

The Portuguese is currently struggling to kick-start United's campaign with the Red Devils still sitting in 14th position in the Premier League table.

While there is an obvious need for a continued rebuild at Old Trafford, Amorim recently indicated that there is no money available for additions throughout this month.

Despite that insistence, United will naturally be open to parting ways with some of their big-earners and players who are out of form.

Nevertheless, according to Manchester World, Amorim has also been giving thought over how some players further down the pecking order could gain minutes.

Who have United made available for loan?

The report claims that Dan Gore and Harry Amass will each be allowed to move out on loan before the end of the January transfer window.

Although both academy graduates have featured for United during pre-season tours, they are yet to make the breakthrough into the senior ranks.

However, there remains anticipation over future appearances for 17-year-old Amass who has been selected in Premier League squads this campaign.

That was largely a consequence of United being short of left-back options, with Amass not featuring in a top-flight squad under Amorim.

A total of 11 outings have been made in various youth competitions during 2024-25, while the teenager has also played three times in the EFL Trophy.

Can Gore kick-start United career?

Gore's solitary senior outing for United came on Boxing Day in 2023 when he was an 89th-minute substitute against Aston Villa.

The hope had been that a loan at Port Vale would deliver regular football, but injury restricted the 20-year-old to just one appearance in League One.

In 291 minutes of Premier League 2 football during 2024-25, Gore has since contributed one goal and three assists across four outings.
