Barcelona tell Manchester United that they can sign Philippe Coutinho for £86m this summer, according to a report.

Manchester United have reportedly been told that they can sign Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona for £86m in this summer's transfer window.

Coutinho joined Barca from Liverpool in January 2018, with the Spanish champions paying an initial £105m for the Brazil international.

The 26-year-old has struggled to make his mark at Camp Nou, though, managing just five La Liga goals this term.

United have been credited with an interest in the playmaker, and according to AS, Barca would be prepared to sell for £86m at the end of the 2018-19 campaign.

Coutinho managed 54 goals and 45 assists in 201 appearances for Liverpool, having joined the Reds from Inter Milan in 2013.
