Besiktas have allegedly identified Rangers boss Steven Gerrard as a potential replacement for Abdullah Avci.
After a poor start on both the domestic and European front, Avci is under pressure to put together an improved run of form after the international break.
However, according to Turkish journalist Mehmet Demirkol, Besiktas are already considering alternatives, with Gerrard on a list of possible appointments.
Demirkol has suggested to beIN Sports that club officials are interested in holding discussions with the England legend, providing that he is open to a surprise switch.
While Gerrard is yet to win a trophy at Rangers, the 39-year-old has won 48 of his 80 matches in charge at Ibrox.
The Scottish giants are likely to rebuff any effort to tempt the former Liverpool midfielder into an exit.
