Southampton target Rennes winger?

A report claims that Southampton are tracking Rennes winger Jonathan Pitroipa.

Premier League side Southampton are reportedly keen to sign Rennes winger Jonathan Pitroipa next month.

The 27-year-old has featured on a regular basis for the Ligue 1 outfit this term, having made three assists from his 17 appearances.

That form has alerted Saints manager Mauricio Pochettino, who is keen to bolster his wide options during the January transfer window, according to Sky Sports News.

It is also thought that German club Hamburg are monitoring the Burkina Faso international's situation.
