Ryan Nelsen claims that it is a privelege to be in a team with 'phenomenal' players at Tottenham Hotspur.

Ryan Nelsen has revealed his gratitude towards Harry Redknapp for giving him the opportunity to move to Tottenham Hotspur.

The New Zealand international, who moved to White Hart Lane from Blackburn Rovers in January, admits that is a privilege to play alongside his Spurs teammates.

The 34-year-old said: "I'm just so glad that the manager gave me an opportunity in January to come here and try to help out as much as I can and do the best for the club.

"I've played in some really good Blackburn sides. We finished sixth and seventh in the league when I first got there.

"But, I've got to admit, the quality of players is fairly phenomenal over here — playing alongside them is a real privilege."

Nelsen had only made one appearance this season before his move to North London.
