Swansea City are unlikely to continue their pursuit of Peter Odemwingie after refusing to meet West Bromwich Albion's £4m asking price for the striker.
Michael Laudrup wants to add another forward to his squad before the close of the transfer window to help ease the goalscoring burden on Michu and new signing Wifried Bony.
Odemwingie, 32, is up for sale following his disciplinary problems at The Hawthorns last season, but Wales on Sunday reports that the Swans are only willing to pay £2.5m for the Nigerian.
Instead, Laudrup will return to the Spanish market to try to lure Getafe striker Alvaro Vazquez, who scored four goals in 25 La Liga games during the 2012-13 campaign, to the Liberty Stadium.
Premier League clubs Cardiff City and Stoke City are also reportedly considering bids for Odemwingie.
