Mario Balotelli sustains thigh injury

AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli will miss this weekend's Serie A clash with Udinese through injury.

AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli is facing a short spell on the sidelines after suffering a thigh injury.

The former Manchester City star will sit out this Saturday's Serie A clash with Udinese, and is doubtful for next week's Champions League showdown with Barcelona.

A statement on the Milan website confirms that Balotelli will be "monitored over the coming days" to establish whether he is fit to return to training.

The Italy international has missed the last three league matches through suspension.
