Mikel Arteta says that he has his sights set on a goal tally of double figures this season.

Mikel Arteta has said that he is aiming for at least 10 goals this season in his first full campaign with Arsenal.

Arteta scored eight goals last season, including two for Everton, and is convinced that improving on that tally will help the Gunners have a successful year.

He told the club's official website: "Last year I scored eight goals, all in the Premier League, so this time I want double figures.

"Hopefully I can do that, more than 10 goals would be quite good I think."

Arteta and Arsenal continue their pre-season tour of Asia with a prestige friendly against Manchester City in Beijing on Friday.
